It is important to note that the first visit of Vytautas Magnus University delegation to Uzbekistan began with "TIIAME" National Research University. The guests were met by the rector of University, Professor Mirzaev Bakhodir Suyunovich. The chancellor of the Lithuanian Academy of Agriculture, Professor Astrida Miceikienė, Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy, Associate Professor Aida Adamavichene, the coordinator for International Cooperation of the Lithuanian Academy of Agriculture Ekaterina Makrikienė participated at the event as the members of the delegation.

   The purpose of the visit is to strengthen and develop ties in the educational, pedagogical, scientific, innovative and educational process in relation to academic ties and new areas of cooperation. During the discussions, different views were exchanged on such scientific and educational issues as strengthening cooperation, signing agreements on new areas of cooperation, joint cooperation under the Erasmus + program, issuing bilateral diplomas in the field of agronomy, agriculture and forestry, as well as in the field of information technology, humanitarian and political sciences, opportunities to develop the qualifications of teachers and improve the quality of teaching in English, the organization of virtual courses. During the meeting, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Professor Salokhiddinov Abdulkhakim and Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Professor Sultonov Tokhir also expressed their views and proposals on cooperation activities.
