On December 7, 2023 a delegation led by the rector of “TIIAME” National Research University, Professor Mirzaev Bakhadir Suyunovich made a visit to Urgench State University, Khorezm region, regarding the implementation of the tasks set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting via video conference selector on the topic “Wise use of water resources and reduction of water waste”, dated November 29,2023. During the visit to Urgench State University, there were discussed the issues of training personnel in the field of water management in the region. Besides that, the educational process at the university, educational-laboratory base,  material and technical base, created opportunities at the university were studied. Additionally, Professor B. Mirzaev, the rector of “TIIAME” National Research University made a presentation to the authority and  professor-teachers of Urgench State University regarding attracting young scientists to  concreting ditches and canals, developing the material and technical base of   management and teaching staff of  university as well as providing information about the recognition of “TIIAME” National Research University at the national and international level.  

During the event, Professor Bakhrom Abdullaev, rector of Urgench State University  and  Professor Mirzaev Bakhadir, the rector of “TIIAME” National Research University signed a Memorandum of Understanding, according to which:

- Formation of a scientific team to conduct scientific research in the direction of rational use of water resources and reducing water losses in the region  as well as participation in international and national scientific grant competitions;

- Organizing the exchange of talented students and creating conditions for the participation in different competitions held in Higher Educational Institutions;

- Joint development of educational and regulatory documentation, creation of educational materials and teaching and learning literature and resources of a new generation, consideration of proposals for the creation of a new laboratory;

- Development of local cooperation by associating professors and teachers of Higher Educational Institutions for the purpose of scientific cooperation.

- Based on the agreement, organization of a short-term internship for young professors, teachers and industry scientists at “TIIAME” National Research University;

- Proposals were made, such as joint development of a concept for opening territories related to water management and the creation of laboratories. At the end of the event, the parties exchanged souvenirs with each other.The event was very supportive in identifying the future perspectives of leaders in cooperation.
