There was given a start to the International Summer School activities
It is important to suggest that the 2nd International Summer School for doctoral students on the topic “Assessing the sustainability of water-energy-food-environmental security for irrigated agriculture: interdisciplinary approaches for Central Asia” has begun its activities. The suggested Summer School will run for a week, starting August 21, 2023. The goal of the summer school is to provide doctoral students and young scientists with advanced knowledge about modern research methods and methodologies for assessing the sustainability of relationships between water, energy, food and environment in cooperation with Leibniz (ZALF), the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Zones (ICARDA). Among the participants there were doctoral students and young scientists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Germany, Ecuador, the USA and Uzbekistan.
The program of the 2nd International Summer School, in addition to educational and scientific activities, provides extensive excursion program, during which participants will get acquainted with the water facilities and sights of Tashkent city. The International Summer School will run till August 25, 2023.
