It is known that British Council in Uzbekistan is implementing a number of international projects in the field of higher education. As part of these projects, on March 10, 2023 at Uzbek State World Languages University there was organized the international conference ""New Directions Series". It is the second time that the  conference is being organized in our country, and the main purpose of  which is supporting he activities, aimed at creating a quality education system through the development of English language skills in the Republic, in the sphere of higher education, as well as creating conditions for project representatives from the region and the city, giving opportunity to exchange the gained experience at national and international levels in the field of language teaching and language assessment, as well as to encouraging in finding solutions to existing problems and shortcomings in the field and accept decisions.

     The conference was attended by the representatives and teams of higher educational institutions of our country, as well as highly qualified sspecialists from the UK, Professor Barry O'Sullivan, Gemma Bellhouse, Aidan Holland and others. The conference is aimed at developing new directions series as assessment of knowledge in teaching foreign languages in Uzbekistan, which  is closely related with Quality Education. The Conference was opened with the representatives of he Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ministry of Public Education, British Council and the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where the with the participation of 250 representatives from 44 universities.
