Uzbekistan–UK Education Forum 2023

               On March 2-3, 2023 at Westminster International University in Tashkent in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the British Council in Uzbekistan, there was organized Uzbekistan–UK Education Forum 2023.  At the event the following honored guests and partners were invited:Leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, His Excellency Tim Torloth British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Denise Waddington Director of the British Council in Uzbekistan, Bakhrom Mirkasimov Rector of WIUT, Professor Alex Hughes  International Relations and Work of the University of Westminster London as Vice-Chancellor for Affairs, Higher Education Professors Dr. Stephen Doughty (De Montfort University), Stuart Bannerman (South Bank University of London), Joe Hall (University of Portsmouth), Stephen Wallis (University of Westminster) in London), Steve King (Cambridge University Press & Assessment , ChangeSchool), Jacqueline Douglas, Norwich Institute for Language Education), Kate McAlister (Stakeholder Management), Head of Transnational Education and Student Affairs, Joan Westphal (UUKi), Head of Transnational Education, Mark Crossey (UUKi), Assistant Director of Politics and Global Partnerships, Professor Alex Hughes (University of Westminster London) Institute), Vice-Chancellor for International Relations and Employment, Caroline Lloyd  Director of Student and Academic Services at the University of Westminster in London, Kongratboi Sharipov Rector of the Tashkent State University of Economics and representatives of a number of higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan.

 

The purpose of the Uzbek-British Transnational Education Forum was to create a networking for a number of partner organizations to exchange experience in transnational education, form a management culture in higher in terms of higher education, discuss shortcomings and recommendations for the effective implementation of credit-module system as well as strengthening bilateral relations and identifying future plans to improve internal and external quality assurance.
