International accreditation: external evaluation of education quality according to international standards and criterias
From October 31 to November 5, 2022, within the framework of the international project "Modernization of Higher Education" with the participation of international experts from the Shbeeman Consulting company, funded by the State Inspectorate for Quality Control of Education and the World Bank, the process of international accreditation was organized at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. Foreign expert of Shbeeman Consulting Achim Hopbach (Higher Education Consultant, Austria), (https://www.ugc.edu.hk/eng/qac/quality/auditors/) and members of the expert commission, consisting of representatives of various universities, headed by the commission panel Guzal Eshchanova (National Research University "TIIAME"), began their activities in Samarkand. It should be noted that in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, dated June 7, 2019 on non-state educational organizations” the main purpose of the organized processes was to determine the compliance of the content, level and quality of training in educational organizations with state educational standards and criterias, as well as curricula. During the accreditation, an external expert commission conducted interviews with the leadership of the institute, as well as with the heads and specialists of the relevant departments
.
During the organized interviews, an exchange of views took place on the issues of studying, where participated the rector and vice-rectors, as well as deans of faculties with students through social networks, the effective use of information resource centers by students . The progressive approaches of teachers to ensuring the quality of classes, as well as effective mechanisms for the participation of students in quality control of education, were discussed in detail. Also during the dialogue, a detailed assessment of KPI (Key performance Indicators) system and the management policy carried out by the administration of the institute was also given.
Particular attention in these processes is paid to the development of curricula based on the requirements of the labor market and learning outcomes, the creation of the conditions necessary for their implementation in the educational process, as well as the participation of students and employers in the processes of ensuring the quality of education.
