Rector's visit to Japan

The Rector of our  "TIIAME" National Research University, Professor Mirzaev Bahadir Suyunovich is participating in the Fourth Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan and Japan. This forum is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Japan. On September 28, 2022, the rector held a number of meetings in this forum.

 It is of great importance that Professor of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Dr. Yoshiko KAWABATA agreed to cooperate with our university on the following issues.

1) Training of personnel in agriculture according to SDG;

2) Cooperation on the master's program - supervision of master's theses, conducting research;

3) Launching a short-term exchange program for professors and teachers;

4) assisting in the preparation of documents for professors of the "TIIAME" National Research University for the competition on February 2023;

5)  It was agreed that Professor of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Dr. Yoshiko KAWABATA will visit "TIIAME" National Research University in the third decade of October 2022 and formalize cooperation documents.

Another important meeting with SABURI Haruo, President of the Nagoya University of Economics, Japan. Cooperation plans are as follows:

1) In 2022-2023, organization of agricultural economics and jurisprudence (transboundary water relations), environmental protection (joint and exchange educational programs at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, teacher exchange, and training, organization of internships, summer/winter implementation of schools);

2) In 2023-2024, scientific research on the introduction of technologies to prevent the drying up of the Aral Sea and land salinization, the impact of climate change on agricultural crops, and the introduction of technologies for the prevention of water wastage in the process of water supply from rivers and in the irrigation system (execution of joint scientific projects, publication of scientific articles) ;

3) In 2022-2024, attracting professors and teachers of Nagoya University of Economics to the master's degree course, and organizing scientific seminars and training courses for researchers.

There is no doubt that our Rector's visit to Japan was significant in terms of increasing the potential of our university, sharing and popularizing foreign best practices in the educational system and educational-pedagogical process.
