On September 16, 2022, at the Taraz Regional University named after M.Kh. Dulaty held the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of sustainable development of regions in the context of environmental management and safety". The conference was dedicated to the memory of the rector of Taraz State University, academician Akhmetov Ashimzhan Sulimenovich. Head of the Department of Irrigation and Melioration prof. Begmatov Ilkhom Abduraimovich and prof. Matyakubov Bakhtiyar Shamuratovich took active participation. They delivered a presentation on the topic "Water-saving technologies used in the irrigation of crops in the Republic of Uzbekistan." The international scientific and practical conference was held at a high level. There was an exchange of experience on irrigation and melioration. Later, it was agreed to conduct joint research work, and manage the internships of doctoral students.
