The memory of the victims of repression is eternal

Erected in 2002 in the capital, the architectural memorial complex is dedicated to the memory of our compatriots who gave their lives in the struggle for the freedom of the Motherland. The "Memory of the Victims of Repression" square is located in one of the most beautiful places in our city, where many of the dead martyrs are buried - our enlightened compatriots Abdullah Kadiri, Abdurauf Fitrat, Abdulhamid Chulpan and other great Jadids. This architectural monument combines the great past and vivid memories of our great ancestors. The complex of architectural structures includes a museum, a Rotunda and a garden. In 2001, by order of the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a museum of “Victims of Repressions” was created on the territory of the square. The museum was built in the Eastern architectural style. Its exposition contains unique photographs and historical documents. The construction of the memorial complex "In Memory of the Victims of Repressions" has become a great event in the social, cultural and spiritual life of the country and people, in a short time this complex has become one of the main places of pilgrimage, a place of patriotic and nationalist education of the younger generation. A terrible place where human suffering is remembered has now become an island of memory and respect. On May 13, 2022, the tutor of the faculty  Zh.
