On March 4, 2022, the "TIIAME" National Research University in cooperation with the Uzbek State University of World Languages, the Tashkent City Women's Association "Olima", the portal of international scientific journals tadqiqot.uz held an international scientific and practical conference on the topic "Spiritual and legal foundations for protecting women from harassment and violence." The Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual Education Choriyev Ruzimurat Kungratovich opened the event with an introductory speech. The moderator was the chairman of the Advisory Council for Women, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor Ismoilova Zukhra Karabaevna.

Tenzila Rustamkhanli (Chairman of the women's association "Azeri-Turk"), Zulfiya Tursunova (Professor, Guildford College Greensboro, North Carolina, USA), Guli Khanum Sheikh (founder of the Womens leadership project, Oxford University, UK), Umida Hikmatilla (MA, MS, EdD Candidate, Indiana University, USA), Tamara Ulcekci (employee of the General Directorate of the European Union and International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey, Associate Professor), Nigar Akhundova (leading researcher at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor), Margaret Ifeoma Abasie-Humfrey (Chief Reintegration Specialist, Special Adviser to the President of Nigeria for the Niger Delta (OSAPND), Dilshod Fazilova (doctoral student at the University of British Columbia, Canada), Elena Rakhimova (assistant at Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany) attended the online conference.

Main topics of the conference were:

- gender policy in the field of protection of women from harassment and violence;

- protection of the rights, freedom, and legitimate interests of women from harassment and violence;

- effective organizational and legal mechanisms for the prevention, detection, suppression of harassment and violence against women;

- measures to eliminate the causes and conditions that led to the commission of harassment and violence against women;

- social cooperation of state bodies, self-governing bodies of citizens, non-governmental non-profit organizations, and other institutions of society in order to prevent social persecution and violence;

- guarantees of gender equality and women's rights in the legislation of Uzbekistan.
