Undeniably, the national wealth of every nation is its language. Due to the International Day-Mother Tongue, a competition for writing dictations was organized at "TIIAME" National Research University. It was planned to select and reward the winners, in compliance with norms of the official language, without spelling and punctuation mistakes. We are proud that Uzbek language is gaining international prestige. This is confirmed in the speech of the President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoev from the high rostrum of the United Nations. Thus, increasing the prestige of Mother Tongue largely depends on the responsible attitude and respect for it on the part of ordinary citizens and government leaders. The struggle for the purity and rank of the state language is part of our national idea and ideology. At the event, organized on the initiative of associate professors Yuldasheva N., Dzhumaniyozov R., majority of students wrote a dictation in the way, based on the Latin alphabet. Students, depending on the places they achieved, were awarded with valuable presents.

  This movement is connected with the issue of literacy, which is an important criterion of spirituality. The event was attended by the dean of  “Organization and management of water management” faculty  Dr Khakimov R. and the talented poet Nasiriddin Botirov, speaking under the pseudonym "Davoi". Literacy is an important key to the enlightenment. Undoubtedly, the father of the global automotive industry, Henry Ford once informed : "If I had to go back to college, I would focus on two subjects: the art of writing and the art of speaking in front of the  audience." Six students received memorable gifts from the university authority and valuable books. The organizers and participants of the event suggested that such literacy competitions should be held monthly. Such initiative will contribute to the increase the level of literacy of bachelor and master students.
