It is important to mentions that Damir Rakhmetov, regional director of Elsevier, and Sergey Varnavsky, director of the company for chemical and biological sciences, visited our university in order to establish close cooperation. The vice-rector for research and innovation T.Sultanov, vice-rector for International Cooperation A.Salokhiddinov, vice-rector for academic affairs B.Khudayarov, Head of EcoGIS  prof.A.Pulatov, Head of International Cooperation Department Sh.Rakhmonov, head of Innovation and Research Cluster M.Reimov, Assistant of the Department "Geodesy and Geoinformatics" I. Abdurakhmonov.

        The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the use of the Elsevier journal database on our campus and about its prospects. First of all, the detailed information about the database of these journals, its capabilities and priorities were provided by partners during the event. Then the quantity and quality of scientific articles published by scientists of our university till present were discussed. It was noted that cooperation with Elsevier was important for further development of  this process. It was also mentioned that more than dozens of  universities are working in partnership with Elsevier company. The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, where areas for further cooperation were identified.
