On March 4-5, 2024 the Second  “Uzbekistan-United Kingdom” Educational Forum, organized by  Westminster International University in Tashkent was organized on the joint initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the representative of the British Council in Uzbekistan, University of Westminster, London  and the Westminster International University in Tashkent.

    At the international event, ways for effectively achieving the goals set on actual areas were discussed, in particular, the issues that are important to achieve through transnational education. The event was attended by about 15 Higher Educational Institutions, the representatives of public associations for the internationalization of education and improvement of  education quality and representatives of international companies.

     It is important to suggest that the main topics of the forum were focused on resolving such important issues as the experience of introducing British transnational education in cooperation in Uzbekistan, management and quality of education in higher education and the contribution of scientific research to society. Leaders and representatives were from Advance HE, Goldsmiths University of London, De Montfort University (DMU), Europe and Central Asia, THE (Times Higher Education), Global University Systems, London South Bank University (LSBU), Nottingham Trent University, Royal Agricultural University (RAU), University of Reading, Cambridge University of Education, Change School, Norwich Institute for Language Education, that had meetings with Uzbek Higher Educational Institutions in order to establish a close cooperation as well as to negotiate on topical issues such as educational development, implementation the best foreign experience, achieving quality and efficiency in education, management in education and ensuring internal and external quality.      

   From "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University the rector of university Professor Mirzaev Bakhodir Suyunovich, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Professor Abdukhakim Salokhiddinov, Head of International Relations Associate Professor Shrzod Rakhmonov, PhD of “English Language” Department Guzal Eshchanova also took part in “Uzbekistan-United Kingdom” Educational Forum. The Memorandums of Understanding were signed between "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University and Global University Systems "University of Law" as well as Norwich Institute for Language Education.

    We hope that such Uzbekistan-UK events will further strengthen cooperation and create the basis for improving the development of education in both countries.
