There was organized a round-table-talk dedicated to World Water Day in cooperation with the Committee for the Development of the Aral Bay Region and the Ecology Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Youth Parliament under the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “TIIAME” National Research University, the Environmental Movement of Uzbekistan and LLC Ecosuv. At the event there were discussed that irrigation water utilization rate will be increased to 90-95%, the use of drip irrigation and other water-saving technologies will be expanded by abandoning traditional irrigation methods, and research and development work in this area will be continued and expanded, groundwater resources will be analytically determined and appropriate measures will be taken on issues such as the effective use of alternative water sources, rational use of water resources, respect for water and its popularization conservation to a new level was emphasized as a must activity.

The participants emphasized the need to implement comprehensive measures to protect water resources, their rational and efficient use, as well as to improve water resource management mechanisms. Young scientists from the Ekosuv enterprise conducting research on the rational use of water resources also made a speech at the event and reducing water consumption. A presentation of “Subsoil Drip Irrigation System” technology and the results of its experiments was also organized.

In addition, participants were provided with detailed information about the research and practical projects carried out by scientists, teachers and university students in the field of water management at university. Participants of the event got acquainted with the exhibition dedicated to World Water Day, organized by the university.

At the end of the event, the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on the development of the archipelago region and ecology, the Youth Parliament under the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Environmental Movement of Uzbekistan and LLC “Ekosuv” and  “TIIAME” National Research University made speeches and signed a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation. Based on the memorandum, together with the university, it was planned to introduce a scholarship from LLC Ecosuv for students of 'Ecology and Law" Faculty.
