Uzbekistan – China: mutual cooperation opens doors to comprehensive opportunities
The cooperation with developed countries opens the door to all possibilities. A striking example of this is the relationship between Uzbekistan and China, which has its own history.The cooperation and ties of friendship that are developing with the People's Republic of China under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev have their basis.
The People's Republic of China was one of the first to recognize the independence of Uzbekistan.The Relations between Central Asia and China go back several thousand years. Even today, mutual cooperation between Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China is at the level of strategic partnership. Diplomatic relations were established on January 2, 1992.
On September 15, 2022, a comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era was established. Since 1991, 21 summits have been held with the participation of the leaders of the two countries, which indicates the strength and prospects of cooperation. A total of 283 documents were signed between the Republic of Uzbekistan and China, including 113 interstate, intergovernmental and international agreements, 82 interdepartmental and 88 other types of documents. This means that connections become stronger.
The state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to China on May 1-13, 2017 raised issues of cooperation to a higher level.Besides that, the leaders of Uzbekistan and China adopted a comprehensive program for the development of strategic partnership between the two countries for the period 2023-2027.
