On March 15, 2022, the staff, doctoral students, and undergraduates of the Department of Hydraulics and Hydroinformatics visited the Joint Stock Company "Uzbek Metallurgical Plant", located in the city of Bekabad, Tashkent region. The main purpose of the visit is the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between "Uzmetkombinat" JSC, the conclusion of the agreement on multilateral cooperation.

The visit began with the Center of excellence for the qualification of employees of "Uzmetkombinat" JSC. The head of the department of ecology and environmental protection of the plant Maksudov Khusniddin, first category environmental engineer Razikov Bakhrom, environmental engineers Bainazarov Ihtiyor and Zhuraev Dilshod welcomed the staff.

Head of the Department Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Arifzhanov A.M. and Associate Professor Samiev L. delivered a presentation about the university and the department to the employees of the plant, spoke about the priority areas of the department, scientific developments. Professor Arifzhanov A.M. noted that the department conducts scientific research in the field of water purification, there was developed a new technology.

For further development of cooperation between the Department of Hydraulics and Hydroinformatics and "Uzmetkombinat" JSC was proposed a draft cooperation agreement.
