A delegation led by the Ambassador of Malaysia to Uzbekistan Ilham Tua bin Illias and a rector of University Malaysia Terengganu  Professor, Academician Mazlan ibn Abdigaffar visited “TIIAME” National Research University. The delegation also included Vice-Rector for Academic and International Affairs, Professor Zamri bin Ibrahim, member of the University Governing Council, academician Dean Adam, head of the Malaysian Maritime Academy, Professor Hamdam bin Suhaimi, head of the STYEM Foundation, Associate Professor Laili Binti Haji Che Rose, senior lecturer of “Ocean engineering technologies and computer science” Department Zainiddin Eshkuvvatov, teacher of English Raihan bin Romli. From “TIIAME” National Research University meeting was attended by the rector of the university, Professor Mirzaev B.S., Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Prof. Salokhiddinov A.T., Dean of of “Economics” Faculty PhD, docent Alimov U.Z., Associate Professor of  “Economics” Faculty  Khakimov R., Associate Professor Tulabaev A. and Head of the International Cooperation Department Rakhmanov Sh.

During the meeting, guests were provided with detailed information about the educational and scientific work carried out at the university. Then the Malaysian side showed a video about University Malaysia Terengganu. The Ambassador of Malaysia Ilham Tua bin Illias informed that from Uzbekistan a large number of students are being sent to universities in Malaysia annually. He emphasized that cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and alternative energy would be beneficial. The issues of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation and its priority areas were discussed at the meeting. At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was solemnly signed between the two universities, designed to take mutually beneficial cooperation to a new level. Based on the memorandum, the agreement was reached between the two universities on the exchange of teachers and students, joint publication of articles, organization of scientific seminars and conferences, and implementation of joint scientific projects.
