The event dedicated to the 583-anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi took place on the Alley of Writers. It was attended by the representatives of science, intellectuals, employees of government and public organizations, literary scholars, and higher educational institutions.In the monitor, which was installed in the square there were showed videos about the life and work of the poet-thinker, samples of his ghazals and wise sayings. By opening the event, the rector of “TIIAME” National Research University Professor Bakhadir Mirzaev noted that extensive work, which  is being carried out in our country in order to study the creative heritage of Alisher Navoi. Scientists and members of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan spoke about the translations of Alisher Navoi's ghazals into foreign languages, particularly into German and read one of the ghazals of poet in German.
