On November 12, 2021, in the lecture hall of TIIAME was held an educational event "Enlightenment against ignorance" for students of the faculty "Organization and management of water resources". The head of the department of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Doctor of historical sciences - Nematullo Muhammedov, Republican Spirituality and Culture Expert of the Center for Propaganda, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Jamila Shermuhammedova, Senior Lecturer of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan - Saidafzal Saidjalolov, Head of the Central Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan - Umid Muhammedov and Farrukh Elmirzaev, a senior official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs took part at the event. Rashid Khakimov, dean of the Faculty of Water Management and Water resources opened the event and introduced the guest experts. The speakers at the event spoke about the essence of the ideas put forward by the President "Building a new Uzbekistan together", "Creating the foundation of the Third Renaissance", the ancient science, culture, and enlightenment in the regions of our country. The participants exchanged views on the essence of the issue, what responsibilities and tasks are assigned to young people who undertake its development, as well as issues of mutual respect between people, gender equality in society. There were made suggestions and comments on how to encourage young people to read books and to prevent ignorance in society. Moreover, there were given advice to students to be careful when using social media in today’s fast-paced information age and to be wary of informal sites and telegram groups that promote alien ideas.
