On July 10, 2023, young scientists of “Hydraulics and Hydroinformatics” Department made a  visit to Pskem HPP under construction in Tashkent region. During the visit, together with industry experts, they got acquainted with the working process of new reservoirs and water intake facilities under construction. The annual capacity of the Pskem HPP under construction is 400 MW, it is being built at an altitude of 1045 m above sea level. The total area of the reservoir is 900 hectares, and the capacity is 500 million m3. Its lower part has a width of 1350 m, a height of 195 m, and the highest part has a width of 10 m. The Pskem HPP is designed for 4 large units, each with a capacity of 100 MW. The Pskem HPP is scheduled to be put into operation in 2026.At the same time, the first step was taken towards establishing mutual cooperation and the implementation of future scientific research.In conclusion, we can say that this visit will serve as a school for young scientists of the department in conducting their scientific research.
