November 9-17, 2021 in the framework of the fundamental project "Development of methods for assessing and forecasting the impact of global climate change on the reclamation of irrigated lands for the efficient use of water resources and the creation of electronic maps of hydromodular zoning of irrigated lands based on GIS technology" Prof. Matyakubov B.Sh. visited the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region. During the visit, the following activities were carried out in the framework of the project in 2021: 1. Irrigation soil salinity (2000-2020). 2. Map of areas with unsatisfactory reclamation (2020). 3. Location and mineralization of groundwater (2019-2020). 4. Concentrated and discharged water volumes from the source (2019-2020). 5. The principles of hydromodular zoning of irrigated lands were explored and analyzed. Based on the goals and objectives of the project, there was organized a meeting with the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the responsible specialists of the Chap Qirg‘oq Amudarya ITXB. The site where the collector-drainage network is being cleaned was visited, and scientific advice and were given some suggestions. Press service of TIIAME
