Today, in the lecture hall of the Faculty of "Land Management" was held an event among 1st-year students to prevent the use of drugs and psychotropic drugs. Ubaidullaev Abzal Riksiboyevich, Senior Prevention Inspector of the University Rights Protection Center, and Akbar Umirovich Gapparov, Head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the University, made a presentation at the event. They said that today young people refuse traditional drugs, and the number of cases of the use of psychotropic and potent substances is increasing instead. Tramadol and newer tropicamide preparations are also popular among today's youth. Under their influence, young people commit serious crimes.
Also, one of the topical topics for today was the “Fight against corruption”. Akbar Umirovich Gapparov, head of the anti-corruption department of our university, said that corruption is one of the terrible vices of society. This vice undermines the foundations of democracy, leads to the violation of human rights and dignity, worsens the quality of life, and creates a favorable environment for the flourishing of organized crime, terrorism, and other phenomena that threaten people's security. Corruption is a set of crimes committed by officials using the powers of the state power or management for their own benefit or for the benefit of others.
