On May 23-24, at the “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” National Research Universitythe was held the traditional international scientific conferences GAT - GISCA2022 in Central Asia on the topic “Design of geophase ecosystems” and GI2022 on Geoinformatics. The purpose of the conference is to exchange experience with foreign partners and to ensure the integration of scientific research carried out at the university.

The Rector of the University, Professor B. Mirzaev opened the conference with his introductory speech. Representatives of ministries and organizations, including the Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Khamraev, the chief specialist of the department for coordinating the activities of scientific organizations and implementing investments of the State Forestry Committee M. Ganiev were also invited to the conference.

Everyone was pleased with an informative presentation by Professor, Academician of the University of Salzburg, Austria Josef Strobl, who is an honored guest of the conference. Alisher Kurban, Professor of the Shin Jong University of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who is another guest of honor at the conference, also made a presentation on the results of their important research work.

The opening ceremony of the conference was organized as part of the Erasmus+ NICoPA project. Ilhom Abdurakhmanov, the project coordinator at the university delivered a presentation about the project, its goals, and objectives, as well as the results and achievements to date. Another project coordinator, a representative of the Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after Saken Seifullin Aliya Baiteleneva, also delivered a welcoming speech, and spoke in detail about the importance of the conference both in scientific and practical, as well as in educational terms, about the latest achievements within the framework of the project on research and educational work carried out with partners, reforms and expressed gratitude to the organizers of the conference.

Also, Professor of the Budapest University of Economics and Technology Laurent Foldvari, Professor of the Tashkent State Technical University Lola Gulyamova, Associate Professor of the "TIIAME" National Research University Shukhrat Shokirov made the main reports of the conference.  The first half of the conference was opening the International Symposium on land reform, in the 2nd takes place the Tashkent session of the GISCA conference.
