It is important to remind that in 2022, within the framework of the European Union program - Erasmus+, on the basis of “New Master’s Study Programs on Sustainable bioeconomy in Uzbekistan” project, there was created “Bioeconomics” Master program. Currently, there are 9 Master Students were accepted for the program, as well as Uzbek partners of the project together with representatives of  Tashkent State Agrarian University, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with representatives of two food industry enterprises “AGRO PRODEX GROUP” and “PROMEATAGRO”, visited Latvia as a part of Study Program. The visit is financed by a project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Latvia. The visit will allow participants to develop a deep understanding and knowledge on Bioeconomy, as well as the roles and responsibilities of each sector and institution, to contribute to the creation of a sustainable Bioeconomy Ecosystem in Uzbekistan. On the first day of the visit, guests visited the Latvian National Botanical Garden as well as Jurmala Nature Park and received detailed information about the nature of the Latvian state. Presentations from the University of Life Sciences and Technology of Latvia on their bioeconomy initiatives, as well as information about the history, buildings and culture of the ancient city of Riga was really interesting for visitors. The study visit to Latvia will last until October 27, 2023.
