It is important to suggest that there is a deep appreciation for people that have a special interest for art and literature. “Literature reflects the heart of people, the spirituality of people. In today’s challenging world, it is important to find a way to people's souls, to use the power of literature and art in order to inspire them to different achievements. We will create all conditions for studying the heritage of our ancestors and creating precious literature to be worthy for our  culture,” oncely was mentioned by the head of our state.  Indeed, in our country there is a tradition to celebrate the date -February 9 annually as an important date for literature, education and anniversary  of the great poet and thinker and statesman Alisher Navoi.

In this regard, on the basis of the road map developed by “Irrigation and Drainage” faculty jointly with Lashkarbegi makhalla, professors, staff, doctoral students, masters and talented students of “Hydraulics and Hydroinformatics” Department met with the residents of Sergey Borodin, located  in Lashkarbegi. The event was dedicated to the 581st anniversary of the birth of the great poet Alisher Navoi. At the event, the chairman of  makhalla, expressed her satisfaction from  the cooperation and gave the welcoming speech in the opening part of the Forum. At the beginning of the event, samples  from the works of Alisher Navoi were read. The talented students very impressively participated  with the at the event with memorized ghazals of a great poet.

       At the end of the event, a quiz about the life and work of the poet was held, and books on art were awarded to citizens, who answered correctly to the questions. Taking advantage of the visit, the participants got acquainted with the House-Museum of Sergei Borodin, which lead the way to remember about our ancestors, that did a lot for the prosperity of literature.
