The international conference "CENTRAL ASIA-2023 XVI" Internet, Information and Library Resources: Science, Education, Culture and Business" was held in Bukhara on May 24-26, 2023, where Maksud Yakhaev, PhD, Acting Director of Information Resource Center of our University took part. At the conference, seminar-trainings and round-table talks were held, at which the following issues were considered: actual tasks about training personnel for librarianship, prospects for the development of book reading and a culture of reading, bibliographic activities and the creation of bibliographic records based on modern information technologies, the importance of advanced information technologies in providing library services, work with the world's electronic information resources, providing information “Resource centers” with the necessary modern information technologies.
