On February 2, 2024 on the occasion of “World Wetlands Day” there was organized a round table-talk “Tashkent Engineer of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization”National Research University. The event was organized by the Committee on Development and Ecology of the Aral Bay Region of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. At the event in collaboration with  Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan, the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and party organizations in Tashkent  there were discussed the importance of regions.

Alikhanov Boriy Botirovich, Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis for the development of the Aral Sea region and Ecology also congratulated all participants on the “World Wetlands Day” and provided detailed information about  Ramsar Convention and its significance for our republic.During the event “Ramsar 2024: “Life connects wetlands and people”, “Use of water-saving technologies in Uzbekistan”, “Results of public hearings on air pollution problems in the city of Tashkent, “ Global definition of mineralized and saline inland water bodies and their implications for the Ramsar Convention” were presented by senior experts and professors. As a result of the event, professors and teachers, industry representatives and university students received answers to all their questions. “Ecology and Law” Faculty  of university regularly organizes different educational seminars and round-table talks in order to increase environmental awareness of students.
