Effective visit impressions
It is natural that issues of beneficial cooperation for both countries and peoples are the main goal in mutual invitations and visits of the heads of state. The same goal was achieved during the two-day official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Egypt. On the second day of the visit, the talks with President Abdulfattah al-Sisi and the adoption of a joint statement by the heads of state, as well as the signing of documents between the ministries and agencies of the two countries, can be seen as a clear expression of the above considerations.
During the talks, the leaders emphasized that the large-scale reforms implemented in the two countries - the New Uzbekistan strategy and Egypt's "New Republic" program are in harmony with each other, creating new jobs, reducing poverty, socially protecting the population, and urban infrastructure. The problems in some areas were also mentioned including the fact that the great opportunities and potential of trade and economic cooperation are not being fully utilized. Emphasis was also placed on the practical mechanisms and effective measures necessary for its implementation.
Also, it is especially gratifying that it was agreed on the implementation of "green" energy projects, the development of optimal transport routes connecting the two countries, and the establishment of direct air flights. It is worth noting that the need to be active in the framework of international and regional organizations, to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan and not weaken the efforts to help the people of this country, has once again increased the socio-humanitarian nature of the visit.
While listening to the speeches of our President, oriented towards a bright perspective, and having a scientific and logical essence, it is worth saying that the results of the Uzbekistan-Egypt summit will not only inspire confidence and hope for the future but will also prepare a solid foundation for bringing the cooperation to new qualitative stages.
