On November 11, 2022, the Committee on International Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, together with the  "TIIAME" National Research University and the International Institute of Central Asia, held an international "round table" on the topic "Prospects for the effective use of water diplomacy mechanisms in the Central Asian area". The deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, senior officials of the Institute for Legislation Problems and Parliamentary Studies under the Oliy Majlis, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of international organizations and the media attended the round table.

During the "round table" further plans aimed at the prospect of effective application of the mechanisms of water diplomacy in the Central Asian area were identified, the effective use of parliamentary diplomacy tools in this direction, and relevant recommendations were developed.
