On January 19, 2024 an open dialogue was organized with 4-year students of “Land Resources and Cadastre” Faculty with the participation of U.Niyozmetov, Head of the Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In his speech, the invited guest provided the following information about the indicators of agricultural entities, in the field of production, food safety and digitalization, efficient use of land and water resources, veterinary medicine, animal husbandry and cocooning. The specialist touched upon priority tasks: diversification of the industry, marketing, logistics of export-import products, a unified information system “agroplatform”, reduction of the shadow economy and the human factor, transparent statistics and distribution of all subsidies through “agricultural subsidies”. Besides that, directing funds to projects in the agricultural and food sectors, training and professional development of more than 750,000 newly created farms and intensive cultivation of vegetables, provision of resources, supply of intensive seedlings; expansion of fruit and vegetable plantations, creation of ineffective orchards and orchards instead of intensive gardens, development of clusters, production, storage, processing and export of fruit and vegetable products, processing business entities to help with financial support and create mutually beneficial relationships between processing enterprises. At the end of the event, students asked several questions and received additional information.
