The proclamation in December 1982 of the United Nations Decade of Disabled Persons (1983-1992) prompted an increase of activity designed to improve the situation and status of persons with disabilities. At the end of this decade (October 14, 1992), December 3 was declared "International Day of Persons with Disabilities" in accordance with a resolution adopted by the 37th Plenary Session of the UN General Assembly.

The Youth Leader of the Karshi branch of TIIAME O.Tukhtaev, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of "Agricultural Mechanization" B.Niyazova, Assistant of the Department of General Technical Sciences N. Amirkulova, and active students visited the "Specialized School for Children with Disabilities" No. 33. During the event, our talented students performed dances and songs. Afterwards, the branch administration handed out souvenirs and books to the students.
