On April 27th was launched the first international scientific-practical forum "Bioeconomics for sustainable development of countries and regions" for higher educational institutions of the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University of the Republic of Uzbekistan, government agencies and various sectors of the economy.

The representatives of government agencies and businesses, as well as leading European universities from Finland, Latvia, and Lithuania are participating in this event. In particular, Mr. Mindaugas Kaserauskis, Head of the Political, Press, and Information Department of the EU Delegation; Adviser to the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Shukurov; Mr. Edgars Kronbergs, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture; Mr. Komiljon Karimov, First Deputy Minister of the Republic of Latvia and the Ministry of Secondary Specialized Education; Deputy Minister of Innovation Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan prof. Shahlo Turdiqulova; Aziza Abdurahmanova, Coordinator of the National Erasmus Bureau of Uzbekistan; Deputy Hokim of Samarkand region Feruz Nematullayev; director of the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University, moderator of the forum, professor Shavkat Hasanov. The forum was also attended by the head of the Department of International Cooperation Sh. Rakhmonov, professors I. Bozarov, A. Anarbayev, Sh. Murodov and a delegation of students and graduate students.
